Fighting Tourettes With Food!
Taco Shells
250g Plain
350g enriched corn meal
1/4 tsp salt
600ml water
1 egg
Skill 3
Preheat a pan with a small amount of oil to a medium/ high heat. Mix ingredients well (the batter will be runny)
Pour a small ladel sfull onto the pan and spread it into a nice circle. Each side n eeds one minute but dont let then brown!.
As soon as they come off the pan thay can be moulded in to the taco shape, (you can use a rolling pin with each side balanced on the edge of two bowls).
When they have cooled you can fill them with whatever filling you like!
FUN FACT!
"the taco shell was supposedly created around the 18th century in the silver mines in mexico! In the mines the word 'Taco' refered to the little charges they put in the walls, these were small pieces of paper wrapped around gunpowder!"
